Hello from New York! I’m traveling with a fashionable friend, so I decided to take advantage of that for today’s blog post. Here are some of his outfits from our trip:
On Wednesday night, a few of us went to see Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 at the Imperial Theatre. It’s still in previews, and we all loved it. Definitely see it if you get the chance. This was my friend’s outfit for the show: a navy and white gingham shirt, camel chinos, navy and white polka dot socks, and a pair of Allen Edmonds wingtips.
On Thursday, we all ate bagels at H&H Bagel and then headed over to the Met. My friend wore dark wash denim, a maroon long sleeved tee, and a navy baseball jacket. He also wore his new white cap toe sneakers, which he wanted for a long time and finally bought at Nordstrom last week.
Today, the two of us went down to visit the Hamilton’s graves in the Trinity Church cemetery in lower Manhattan, then we walked over to One World Trade Center to look for Anna Wintour, ate lunch in Central Park, and now we’re settled on the couch watching Downton Abbey and waiting for our other friends to get in touch about dinner tonight. He wore this beautiful cream-colored wool cable knit sweater, dark wash denim, and desert boots from Clark’s.
Tomorrow’s our last full day in New York. I’m sure we’ll end up getting more bagels, possibly stop by Bergdorf’s just to worship at the altar, and then tomorrow night we’re going to see Book of Mormon of the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. My friend was kind enough to give us a preview of tomorrow’s outfit as well. He’s going to be wearing this navy button up with elbow patches, green chinos, and navy striped socks with the same wingtips that we wore on Wednesday.
And that’s everything! Monday’s post will be a more comprehensive look at the weekend, but I thought you guys should know that my friend’s sock game is on point.
